Determine the Engines Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) needed for a hydraulic pump to produce the proper flow rate.

Example: How fast will a 1.50 cubic inch motor turn with 10 gpm input?

Formula: 231 x Gallons Per Minute GPM ÷ Pump Fluid Displacement = RPM - revolutions per minute.

  • 231 x 10 = 2,310 ÷ 1.50 = 1,540 RPM
